A little about me

Hey, my name is Mikael Sehlin. I am 36 years old, born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. I’ve spent most of my life playing instruments and making music.

I started out as a guitarist and drummer. In my late teens I found singing to be my strongest passion amongst all the instruments. I quickly joined a band which later became “Degradead”. We did some tours and the highlight of our career was playing at Wacken Open Air 2014. During my time in the band I discovered the fantastic world of studio engineering. Watching professionals create the most amazing sound from nothing. We got to work with members from In Flames as producers and engineers on our debut album “Til Death Do Us Apart”.

I later joined the band “Engel” where I got to work with Niclas Engelin (In Flames, The Halo Effect). Here my understanding of working in the studio grew massively as I got to work with my bandmates and Oscar NIlsson (Engel, Saint Deamon). The great engineer from Crehate Studios.

With both bands being dormant I’ve joined the norwegian based band “The Day We Left Earth”.

With my music career touring, recording and producing beside me I’ve taken the step to become a studio engineer, producer and mixer myself. Ready to deliver full sounding and professional mixes.
